Just a quick sketch I threw together, I'm thinking of writing a small fan-fic for Shang with pics. The markings on the face are to show allegience to the Dragon King. Used photoshop to darken and sharpen. My first submission, watcha think?

its quite good, i like how it shows a lot of character, i really like how you gave him that old man look, i think this is actually a very good drawing, im saying, four and a half dragons

Well done. I like the tatoos on his face, thats a nice touch. I think the facial hair and the hair on top of his head looks a little funny how its stronger strokes or darker.
BTW, your sig kicks ass! Not just the pic but the text too.

Thanks you guys. I appreciate the complements, I got a full body pic of him that I'll try to submit later. It's all for a fan-fic I'm working on. Thanks again!
Oh and the different shades of graphite in his hair is to show graying, I perfer the old Shang.

pretty good for the most part, the eyes are a little wide, and he only has one ear lol, thought u could slip that one by didnt you? His hair could use some more work, ilike the wrinkles behind his eyes, nice touch.

Mr Oni... u did a good job with this to the point that its a great drawing but I couldnt really have told its Shang Tsung if this wasnt an MK board...

It's great! Shang has a nice new look here. The tattoos on his face are excellent. I like how his eyes have no pupils and the faint glow/mist emitting form them is cool. 4/5

I think it's a good first post. Most of the crits i would give were already mentioned, but I will give you one bit of advice: try and sketch with longer strokes. Right now your pic looks abit scribbled ,and i know it's more of a sketch than a finished pic, but get used to using long, sweeping strokes to really get a solid structure to your pics. Nice start though, it really does show some good promise.

I think that what you drew was very good. The symbols going down the face and the old, wrinkly look remind me of the good ol' days. Gives me that tingly feeling. Anyway, 4/5. Next time, don't just throw something together, you might truly amaze us.

Shang Tsung is soo cool, I especially like the way he can look cool in lots of different ways.I'm not that good of an artist but I'd like to see a pic of him in the MK2 outfit bu tjust really buff
