Artist's Remarks:
Ok This is another new character. Her name is Kiara. I actually put a little thought into her. Her story revolves around Nitara. Nitara killed her brother Kwan and When Kiara finally tracked her down to kill her Nitara escaped by throwing acid a Kiara scaring various parts of her body but worse in the face. Her misson: KILL NITARA. What do you think? Weopon: 3 Section Staff

Scarring? I don't see it, her skin looks pretty clear actually.

Very good, the design is simple so she would fit better in the earlier versions of the game. The anatomy is accurate, I would just work with a smaller brush to get more detailed.

Mainly I would just move on to the coloring now. The drawings are looking good enough that the coloring is holding it back.

I think he was trying to work the JPEG compression artifacts into the story.

Good picture but I don't really care for the story; you should go into some detail on why Nitara killed her brother. Also the whole revenge thing has been done to death.

Actually Hyuga Nailed it. When I saved the pic and then reopened it to work on it somemore that side of the face and some of her body was messed up and this happened every time if Fixed it, saved it and then opened it again So I figured If I can't lose it, use it. Thanks for the advice.

Ha! Good eye. Yeah That is exactly it. read previous reply for explaination. Any advice on how to get rid of it in the future? Seriously it happened every time I saved and reopened.

Yeah I was thinking the samething (About more detail as to why he was killed.) True, Revenge has been done to death but let's consider some of the reasons that people fight: Number 1 is of course self Protection. Number 2 is honer. Number three could be dominance... and then revenge for a loved one who was harmed or killed as result of the oppenents actions. Out of all of these Revenge is just the easiest route to take. Also if a fighter is fighting for revenge I think it gives them more fire ya know? More of an edge. But you have a valid point none the less. Thanks I am glad you like the design.

I assume that you're using Paint. You should try The Gimp. It's like Photoshop except it's free. You should be able to save without JPEG artifacts.

The GIMP is an excellent program, and it's not just for Linux anymore. Try it, you won't be dissapointed.

Actually I use iPhoto Plus 4. I downloaded Gimp. But it's hard to get used to. First off I can't get the Pencil/paintbursh/pen to the size I want it like in iPhoto or other programs. Like before I could put the size to 1 and it would only do one little spot. I try that on this program for detailed, hard to color spots (Eye's for example.) and the smallest that i could make it made one little square in the color I was using and for other lighter clored squares around that one. I'm sure if I can get that under control I will love this program but I am frustrated now. Any hints?

That's because the paint brushes are anti-aliased. That means they don't look like jagged shit. No clue about how to turn off AA in Gimp. I use PS. Kind of weird, though. I like this.

The only thing that could be improved on that I see, aside of the colour itself as was already mentioned, is the thickness of your lineart in spots.
Good job on the whole, though. Especially on her face and eyes.

Well, I don't know what to say about this one...
It's good, but I've seen you do MUCH better than this.
Maybe if you redo her, she'll turn out better...

Anyway, I like the concept, and I can't stop thinking of Shakira in "Whenever, whereever" when I look at her top... Dunno why :)

Her story is ok, but as someone said earlier, it has been done over and over again...

Sorry, but I don't like this one very much...
It can't compete with the other things you've made..
