Well, this could have been better than it is. Firstly, no lifebars. That's always a bad thing, and something that should never be left out unless you signal you are doing an MK4 or MKDA type fatality where the lifebars disappear. Though, I prefer in fakes having the lifebars there, no matter the reason.

On to the background now. Well, like I said, this could have been better than it is. Its a very nice idea actually, I have mentioned many times to for people to create Zatteria-like backgrounds. Its spelled with an 'i' in it as well, just something you should remember. Also, I don't think the living forest was the best base to work with. You could have used parts of it, like the bushes or even the main floor, but not the trees themselves. They don't seem like they would be in the realm of Zatteria, in my opinion at least. As for the action that is taking place, its comical . The one raptor taunting the other with half of a Shang Tsung sprite is a bit funny I suppose. You did edit that Shang sprite, which was a nice idea I might add. I would have edited it more though, and made it look not like Shang, but just some random mortal. Also, why do they all wear ninja suits? It would require work, but I'm quite sure in Reptile's home realm they don't wear ninja suits, they should look like Reptile does in MKDA. Not EXACTLY like that of course, but reptilian like at least. As for the bridge, it seems a bit out of place to be. What's the bridge there for? If you added a stream or a gorge then it would be neccesary, but its not necessary as is.

As for your sprites, you did a wonderful job for the most part. I especially like the Rain sprite, it is truly great. Adding the cloth, and then the design was a great way to give Rain his own feel. It appears Rain has white eyes, not sure I like that idea, doesn't seem to be the right look for Rain. His kneepads are also nice, another nice touch to set him apart from the ninja clone look. I like how he's more than just one basic purple, its needed in my opinion, and I like it alot for that reason. The weapon his also fantastic, its a good choice for Rain, and the position of it in his hand looks perfect. I assume Kabal is dodging the intended strike, as I see no blood on the screen. The Kabal edit isn't as good though. Most people like to give Kabal a cloak or cape now due to Mavado, which is a good idea, but I don't like the green color you used. To me, red would be a more reasonable choice, or a lighter black perhaps. I don't really like the shoulder spikes, both characters should have spikes on their attires, it would be fine to just leave them off or replace them with a smoother cloth. Also, Kabal should be ragged looking, given his story it would make more sense. I'd rather him wear something under the cape, doesn't seem right to be able to see his chest. And the 'straps' that are there are okay, but would have looked alot better without them being directly on his bare skin. As for the shadows, I do see them. But they shouldn't be cast as they are, they run straight as they are on the ground. Since you used a bridge, you should have made the shadows drop down at the edge. Anyhow, I would have given this a higher score with the lifebars there, and the BG adjusted a bit. Its still not bad though, great editing skills.

You did that other fake with Mileena, Jade and Kitana, which wasn't awfully good, and you've made this??? What posessed you when you were making the other one??!!
Anyhow, this is much better (needless to say) than your other newly submitted work.
Although there are a few things missing:

- No lifebars. They also help make something look like it's happening at the top of the screen, it hides the "boring" parts, lol.
- Not too sure I like Kabal's "pose", it seems kind of odd, but still.
- The bridge, looks good, but would it be there? In a forest? Let alone in a forest of Reptiles?

The good things:
+ The edits are very good. Probably needless to say that I like Rain's the best. Good job there.
+ The weapons are very nicely done, and the characters look like they are really using them.
+ The background addition is a nice idea, having various Reptile's, batting a torso around, lol.

Very very nice sprite editing!!! Good Job Rain is definately the best looking sprite of all. Kabal's coat looks very good too, though it's a bit strange the way he's standing.
They seem to be fighting on a bridge made of wood, it looks like real wood indeed! Good job!!
I liked alot the "Reptiles" in the forest! Nice detail
