Ya mortal kombat 1 is the best mortal kombat game out of them all i think real graphics and real people not like the mks they have now a days computerized people and 3d fighting that sucks.I like the 2d fighting alot better.Mortal kombat 1 is the best out of all of them.

The original MK game. I don't think it's the best of them all. I think it's 2nd. But it was the best for originality. It has to be though...so I guess that doesn't really count. But it was still a great game.

to be honest, i only started playing mk1 when it was out cuz it was next to all the sf2 machines, and when i was waiting my turn for challenges i used to watch it. i was never as compedative in mk1 was i was in sf. but once mk3 was out i started playing mk serious, entered a few tournaments (didnt do too badly) bought it on pc, then psx... wait what were we talking about again? oh yeah... mk1.. err mk1 was cool, but i liked sf2 better. mk1 got very bland during challenges (in my opinion).

MK1 was really great, I remember how fast the fighting seemed, lol, I hadn't played many fighting games before it. As a matter of fact I think the only fighting game I played before it was Time Killers because I was a die hard racing game fan until MK completely changed my video game preferences.

I thought the characters looked so great because they weren't as touched up or cleaned up as they were in the other 2D MKs and they weren't the unreal 3D characters. It was one of the first games I played that had a totally great look to it, so stylish, with music, characters and backgrounds that all fit in and, to boot, a great storyline.

Its still one of my favs, probably second behind MKT.
